Dover High School graduate John Kuhn will be inducted into the Shippensburg University Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday.
The 28th annual induction ceremony will be held at 12:30 p.m. from the Tuscarora Room, located inside Reisner Dining Hall.
Kuhn is a 2004 Shippensburg graduate. He was a four-year starter at fullback for Rocky Rees' Red Raider football teams from 2001-2004 that posted a 32-13 record.
Kuhn finished his career with 4,685 yards rushing, 910 carries, 53 touchdowns, 5,300 all-purpose yards and 26 games with at least 100 yards rushing, all of which are school records.
In total, he graduated with 27 school records and four Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference records. He was also an Academic All-American.
Since graduating from Shippensburg, Kuhn embarked on a career in the National Football League, first with the Pittsburgh Steelers and currently with the Green Bay Packers.
Through seven seasons and 106 career NFL games, Kuhn has totaled 477 rushing yards and 429 receiving yards while scoring 19 touchdowns (with six more coming in the playoffs). In 2012, he was a Second Team All-Pro and was voted to the Pro Bowl squad. He also has two Super Bowl rings -- one with each team.
