Only three golfers managed to break 80 on Thursday at Bon Air Country Club in a York-Adams Division II Tournament.
Two of those golfers, however, came from West York -- Axel Hartman at 77 and Josh Rinehart at 79. Those two players helped the Bulldogs to a team victory.
West York finished with a 420 total at the difficult Glen Rock track. That was 25 shots better than second-place Eastern York. The Golden Knights did have the tournament medalist in Andrew Davis, who fired a 4-over-par 75.
Host school Susquehannock took third at 449. Caleb Bryant fired an 80 for the Warriors.
After two tournaments, West York leads the Division II standings at 10-0-0, while Eastern is second at 8-2.
