Five York-Adams League boys' volleyball teams have qualified for the District 3 Tournament.

The local programs are led by Northeastern, which won the York-Adams League regular-season title and is ranked No. 1 in the state in Class AA by the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association.

The Bobcats (13-1) finished first in the District 3-AA power rankings and received a bye into the quarterfinals, set for 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 20, at Dallastown. In that quarterfinal Northeastern will take on the winner of Thursday's first-round match between York County rivals Kennard-Dale and York Suburban, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Dallastown. K-D (7-4) finished No. 8 in the District 3-AA power rankings, while Suburban (8-5) finished No. 9.

The other AA teams which received byes into the quarterfinals were: No. 2 Manheim Central (15-1), No. 3. Lancaster Mennonite (14-2) and No. 4 Brandywine Heights (11-2). Manheim Central is ranked No. 5 in the state in AA, while Lancaster Mennonite is ranked No. 10.

In Class AAA, Central York (11-1) finished fourth in the District 3-AAA power rankings and also received a bye into the quarterfinals, scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, May 20, at Milton Hershey. In that quarterfinal, the Panthers will face the winner of Thursday's first-round match between No. 5 Lower Dauphin (13-2) and No. 12 Dallastown (8-6). Lower Dauphin and Dallastown will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Hempfield.

The top-three-ranked teams in AAA are: No. 1 Hempfield (12-0), No. 2 Central Dauphin (12-2) and No. 3 Chambersburg (13-1).

Central York is ranked No. 3 in the state in AAA, while Chambersburg is No. 4, Central Dauphin is No. 5 and Hempfield is No. 6. Exeter (10-2), which is ranked No. 8 in the District 3-AAA power rankings, is ranked No. 10 in the state.
