The York-Adams League Softball Tournament semifinal games were both suspended by rain on Thursday afternoon.

Both games will be resumed on Friday afternoon.

Central York (18-2) and Delone Catholic (16-0) each held sizable leads when the games were suspended.

Division I champion Central held a 10-0 advantage over Division III champion Kennard-Dale (12-5) in the bottom of the fourth at Spring Grove.

Division IV champion Delone held a 9-3 edge over Division II champion Spring Grove (13-7) in the middle of the fourth at Susquehannock.

The Central-Kennard-Dale game will be resumed at 4:15 p.m. Friday at Spring Grove.

The Delone-Spring Grove game will be resumed at 5 p.m. Friday at Susquehannock.

The winners of those games will advance to the championship contest, which is set for 5 p.m. Monday at New Oxford.

Central pitcher Taylor Rohrbaugh was pitching a no-hitter when her game was suspended. She had struck out eight and walked three. She also had two RBIs at the plate. Kayla Resh had three hits and two RBIs for the Panthers.

Katie Laughman belted a three-run double for Delone, while Casara McCleaf had a two-run singles. The Squirettes were helped mightily by some shoddy Spring Grove defense. Nikki Filbey had a two-run double for the Rockets, while Hayley Norton homered.

NORTHERN 7, WEST YORK 6: At West York, the Bulldogs led 6-5 going into the top of the sixth but were unable to hold the lead and dropped the non-league matchup. Kelsie Weaver led the Bulldogs, going 3-for-4, including a two-run triple in the sixth, while collecting three RBIs.
