The Susquehannock Warriors gave the unbeaten Central York Panthers a major scare through two games Tuesday night in York-Adams League boys' volleyball action.

Central won the first two games at Glen Rock in thrillers, 27-25 and 26-24. The Panthers then rolled to a 25-11 victory in Game 3 to earn the 3-0 triumph.

Central, ranked No. 2 in the latest Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association Class AAA rankings, improved to 8-0 overall and 7-0 in the York-Adams League. Susquehannock fell to 3-5 overall and 3-4 in the league.

Royce Clemens (10 kills, four blocks, three assists, three digs), Dylan Hose (29 assists, six aces, four digs), Alex Klunk (seven kills, four blocks, three digs, three aces) and Ryan Gardner (seven kills, seven blocks) led Central. A.J. Schaeffer (12 assists, 10 digs), Alex Miller (seven kills, seven digs, three assists) and Tim Frey (16 digs, four kills, three blocks) paced the Warriors.

Central won the JV match, 25-6, 23-25, 15-4.

OTHER BOYS' VOLLEYBALL

KENNARD-DALE 3, EASTERN YORK 0: At Fawn Grove, the Rams grabbed a 25-17, 25-16, 25-18 win. For the host Rams, Nate Ellis (15 kills, six blocks, four aces), Dylan Tessier (seven kills), Josiah McConville (24 assists) and Vince Failla (seven blocks) led the way. For Eastern, Elliot Royce (five blocks, seven kills), Sean Mego (four kills, nine digs), Sandon Eaton (12 digs, five kills) and Austin Miller (23 assists, nine digs) were the stat leaders. KD won the JV match, 2-1.

DOVER 3, SPRING GROVE 0: At Dover, the Eagles earned a 25-21, 28-26, 25-8 triumph. Chipper Lindeman (30 assists) and Brendan Warren (18 kills) powered Dover. Dalton Forbes (18 digs, 12 kills), Austin Muff (19 assists, eight digs) and Derek Carlisle (13 digs) led the Rockets. Spring Grove won the JV match, 13-25, 25-20, 15-13.

DALLASTOWN 3, RED LION 0: At Dallastown, Kyle Brignall pounded 16 kills to help the Wildcats win three hard-fought games from the Lions, 25-21, 26-24, 25-23. Justin Barnett supplied 26 assists for Dallastown. Jared Warner (10 kills) and Dan Longnecker and Hunter Klein (a combined 27 assists) led Red Lion. The Lions won the JV match, 26-24, 12-25, 15-11.

YORK SUBURBAN 3, NEW OXFORD 0: At Suburban, the Trojans won, 25-22, 25-14, 25-17. Jacob Kauffman led the Trojans with 15 kills, four digs and three blocks. Lars Dalemar had 26 assists and nine digs. For the Colonials, Ross Starner had nine kills and six digs, while Tyler Steckbeck had five kills, eight digs and three blocks.

NORTHEASTERN 3, WEST YORK 0: At West York, the Bobcats rolled, 25-8, 25-14, 25-6. Northeastern, which is ranked No. 1 in the state in Class AA in the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association poll, improved to 7-0 in York-Adams League action and 9-1 overall. West York remained winless. No other details were reported.
