York Catholic scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning to earn a dramatic 7-6 victory over visiting Hanover on Tuesday afternoon.
Clint Bohn (three hits, triple, double, one RBI, one run scored), Matt McKim (two hits, two RBIs), Jake Krevetski (two hits, one RBI, one run scored) and Erich Hartman (two hits, triple, one run scored) led York Catholic's 12-hit attack. Bohn also got the win in relief, pitching a scoreless top of the seventh.
Zac Sheaffer (two hits, double, three RBIs, one run scored), Nick Trish (two hits, one RBI, one run scored) and Jared Peterman (one hit, two RBIs) led Hanover's offense. Sheaffer also pitched a complete game.
EASTERN YORK 16, BIGLERVILLE 1: At Biglerville, the Golden Knights rolled behind a 14-hit attack. Michael Dunn and Quentin Enders combined on a four-hitter in a game that was ended after six innings because of the mercy rule. They combined for five strikeouts and zero walks. Dunn also finished with three hits, including a double, and three RBIs. Enders also doubled. Terry Godfrey (three hits), Dalton Renn (double, three runs, two RBIs), Colby Shimmel (two hits, two RBIs), Thomas Taylor (double, two RBIs) and Clayton Miller (three runs, three stolen bases) also excelled offensively for Eastern.
