There are now three boys' tennis teams tied for first place in York-Adams Division II.

Susquehannock beat Biglerville on Thursday afternoon, 4-2, while York Catholic swept Hanover, 7-0.

Susquehannock, York Catholic and Delone Catholic, which was idle Thursday, are each tied for the top spot in the division at 4-1. Biglerville fell to 3-2, while Hanover dropped to 2-3.

At Glen Rock, the Warriors (7-3 overall) captured the match in doubles, when Paul Orndorff and Jake Shenk combined to win the No. 2 match, 7-6 (4), 6-4. In singles for the Warriors, Orndorff, Dan Ferraro and Shane Bookhultz each captured a victory. For the Canners (5-4 overall), Cole Herzing and Nate Newberry each won a singles match.

At Hanover, York Catholic's players swept all five singles matches in straight sets, losing no more than two games in any set. Adam Hack, Matthew Koury, Sam Hernandez, Scott Bartkowiak and Timothy Hartinger earned the singles points for the Fighting Irish (6-3 overall). Hack and Koury then teamed to capture the No. 1 doubles match, and Hernandez and Bartkowiak combined to take the No. 2 doubles match. Hanover fell to 6-5 overall.

OTHER BOYS' TENNIS

NEW OXFORD 5, RED LION 2: At New Oxford, the Colonials outlasted the Lions in a marathon match that consumed five hours. Dwight Kessler, Joel Luckenbaugh and Joey Stiles earned singles points for New Oxford, and Sam Innerst and Chase McKnight won singles matches for Red Lion. Kessler and Mike Gruver won a hard-fought No. 1 doubles clash, 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (2), and Luckenbaugh and Stiles captured the No. 2 doubles match. The victory marked the first time that New Oxford defeated Red Lion since the Colonials became a member of York-Adams Division I in 2003.

CENTRAL YORK 7, SPRING GROVE 0: The visiting Panthers were led by Chris Maderitz and Jeremy Garling, who each won their singles matches and teamed to win a doubles match. Central York improved to 5-0 in York-Adams Division I action.

YORK SUBURBAN 7, LITTLESTOWN 0: At Littlestown, the Trojans captured all five singles matches in straight sets. Michael Hogg, Elliot Diehl, Matthew Manzella, Michael Peck and Sam Atkinson each won a singles match for the Trojans.

SOUTH WESTERN 7, DOVER 0: At Hanover, the Mustangs received straight-set singles victories from Quin Meyer, Ben Sentz, Joe Harrison, Ben Harrison and Jordan Heavel. South Western improved to 4-1 in York-Adams Division I and 6-2 overall.

WEST YORK 6, NORTH EASTERN 1: At Manchester, the Bulldogs received singles victories from Josiah Burke, Chris Hein, Jared Potts, Ben Fairlamb and Jon Ellis to secure the victory.
