The Central York girls' soccer team moved into a tie for second place in York-Adams Division I on Thursday night with a 3-0 victory over visiting South Western.

The Panthers moved to 3-1-0 in the division and are tied with Red Lion. Dallastown leads the division at 5-0-0.

Sam Sweeney led the Panthers with one goal and two assists, while Mallory Shirey scored two goals. Goalie Alex Wright stopped four shots to record the shutout.

For the Mustangs, Jacey Shipley made 13 stops in goal.

YORK SUBURBAN 7, NEW OXFORD 0: At Suburban, Mikala Kin and Abby Eisenhart each had two goals and an assist to lead the Trojans. Nikki Whare added a goal and an assist for the winners. Karly Wasiluski and Jordan Shoff had Suburban's other goals. Morgan Taylor made fives in the shutout.

RED LION 9, KEN NARD-DALE 2: At Red Lion, the Lions led 4-0 at the end of the first half and went on to capture the victory. Sam Andel led the Lions with two goals. Tori Sprenkle scored one goal and added one assist.

DOVER 1, SPRING GROVE 0: At Spring Grove, Maxine Herman's goal at the 26:29 mark of the first half ended up securing the victory. Brooke Firestone picked up the assist. Marcie Gerrick made 19 saves in goal to record the shutout. For the Rockets, goalie Leah Roy stopped 18 of 19 shots.

YORK CATHOLIC 3, HANOVER 0: At Hanover, the Irish rolled to the easy win to improve to 4-1-0 in York-Adams Division III action. York Catholic sits in second place in the division behind Fairfield (5-0-0). Hanover fell to 0-5-0. No other details were available.
