Steel-High has been forced to forfeit a District 3 Class A baseball victory, according to District 3 baseball chairman Pat Tulley.
According to Tulley, in Monday's game between Steel-High and Lancaster County Christian, a game won by the Rollers, 6-5, Steel-High violated the PIAA pitching restriction rule. The Rollers were forced to forfeit the game.
LCC will replace Steel-High in the Class A bracket and play Newport on Thursday. The game will go down as a 1-0 victory for LCC, but all individual statistics do count for the game.
In a related District 3 baseball note, Tuesday's Boiling Springs-vs.-Delone Catholic Class AA game, scheduled at Delone, has been moved to Spring Grove with a 4:30 p.m. start. The game was moved because of wet field conditions at Delone.
