The Dallastown boys' tennis team nailed down a District 3-AAA berth on Tuesday with a 6-1 victory at Central York.

The Wildcats (12-2 overall) finished second in York-Adams League Division I at 7-1, while Central (11-2 overall) finished third in York-Adams Division I action at 6-2.

The York-Adams League gets two berths in the upcoming District 3-AAA Team Tournament. Division I champion South Western had already clinched the No. 1 seed from the local league by finishing 8-0 in division play and 14-1 overall. Dallastown grabbed the No. 2 seed from the York-Adams League by beating Central.

The Wildcats will now face the Mid-Penn No. 1 seed at noon Friday, May 4, at the Hershey Racquet Club in a quarterfinal match. In another quarterfinal match, South Western will face the Mid-Penn No. 2 seed at 3:45 p.m. Friday, May 4, also at the Hershey Racquet Club.

In Tuesday's match, Dallastown's Adam Gante and Andy Murray won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, and also teamed to win the No. 1 doubles match. Dallastown also got singles wins from Aaron Inkrote (No. 3) and Kyle Salaga (No. 5). Central got its point at No. 4 singles from Rajeev Dalal. The Wildcats' final point came from its No. 2 doubles team of Michael Klahold and John Schmitt.

OTHER BOYS' TENNIS

RED LION 7, YORK SUBURBAN 0: At Red Lion, the Lions swept the five singles matches in straight sets. Grant Williams, Dustin Innerst, Sam Innerst, Evan Newcomer and Billy Fix earned the singles points in the crossover match. Williams and Dustin Innerst teamed up to take the No. 1 doubles match, and Sam Innerst and C.J. Weigle combined to capture the No. 2 doubles match.

McCASKEY 7, YORK HIGH 0: At Small Athletic Field, the Red Tornado swept singles play in straight sets to win the non-league match.
