Central York rallied for a pair of three-set singles victories en route to a 5-2 boys' tennis victory over visiting Red Lion on Thursday afternoon.
Ryan Keffer (No. 1) and Josh Strickler (No. 5) each lost his first set only to take the next two. Connor Nixdorf and Rajeev Dalal also earned singles points for Central, which improved to 10-1 overall and 6-1 in York-Adams Division I.
Sam Innerst won No. 3 singles for Red Lion.
OTHER BOYS' TENNIS
SPRING GROVE 7, YORK HIGH 0: The visiting Rockets picked up their first win in York-Adams Division I competition. Spring Grove was led by Chris Mathews and Derrin Schrom. The duo each won their singles matches and teamed up to defeat Sean Grove and David Gibson in a doubles match.
DALLASTOWN 7, DOVER 0: At Dallastown, the Wildcats received straight-set singles victories from Adam Gante, Andy Murray, Aaron Inkrote, Payce Berridge and Kyle Salaga. Dallastown improved to 6-1 in York-Adams Division I and 11-2 overall.
BIGLERVILLE 7, WEST YORK 0: At West York, Cole Herzing, Kyle Freeman, Nate Long, Adam Schrider and Erik Angeles earned singles victories for the Canners.
