Kennard-Dale picked up its second baseball win of the season on Thursday afternoon, pounding Eastern York, 13-2, in a non-league contest in Wrightsville.
The game was stopped after five innings because of the 10-run mercy rule.
The Rams improved to 2-7, while the Golden Knights fell to 4-5.
Aaron Affeld led K-D, going 3-for-3, including a double and a homer, while driving in five runs and scoring two runs. Dan Hare added two hits, including a homer, to go with three RBIs and two runs scored. Jason Cooper (two hits, two runs scored, one RBI) and Franco Rossi (two hits, including a triple, two RBIs, one run scored) also excelled at the plate for Rams, who finished with 13 hits.
Nick Zingone allowed two runs in four innings to get the win.
Aaron Dietz had two hits and an RBI for Eastern. Chase Beaverson and Dalton Renn tripled for the Knights.
