Biglerville erupted for six second-half goals to pull away from Wellsboro on Tuesday, 7-1, in a PIAA Class A first-round boys' soccer contest at Boiling Springs.

The District 3-A champion Canners (19-4) led just 1-0 at halftime, with that score coming on an own goal by Wellsboro.

The second half was a different story, however.

Caleb Taylor paced Biglerville with two goals and an assist, while Koby Griest added a goal and an assist and Dylan Sharrah chipped in two assists.

Matt Cellucci, Paulino Rico and Adrian Lupian also scored for the Canners.

Biglerville dominated the stats, outshooting Wellsboro, 13-1, while holding a 9-0 edge in corners.

District 4 runner-up Wellsboro finished at 17-6.

Biglerville advanced to the state quarterfinals with the win and will now face District 2 champion Mountain View, which earned a 3-1 victory over District 11 champion Schuylkill Haven on Tuesday. The Biglerville-Mountain View game will be Saturday at a site and time to be determined.
