GNC is the latest store to join the new West Manchester Town Center.

The Pittsburgh-based specialty retailer of health and wellness products previously had a location in West Manchester Mall.

Now, the company has submitted plans to West Manchester Township to be part of the mall's $47 redevelopment, said Monica Love, township zoning officer.

GNC is the sixth retailer to sign on to the new shopping center.

Along with the anchors — Kohl's, Macy's, Regal Cinemas and Walmart — Ann Taylor Loft, Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar, DSW, Kay Jewelers, Kirkland's and Petco will also open at West Manchester Town Center.

Demolition is under way at 1800 Loucks Road, and soon the 32-year-old enclosed mall will be transformed into a shopping plaza with outward-facing storefronts.

Developers expect West Manchester Town Center to open in time for the Christmas shopping season, with many stores opening in October.
