State police are warning residents of an Internet scam after a Loganville man fell victim to it recently.

The man told troopers that he lost $3,500 in the scam, allegedly stemming from Tupelo, Miss., according to a news release from police.

An email address associated with the scam is, police said.

Anyone making online purchases at and related websites should be cautious of the email address. Numerous other fraudulent postings have been found, police said.
