Two York City teens — a 19 year old and a 17 year old — were arrested after drugs and a stolen gun were found in the vehicle they were in on Saturday in Manchester Township.

A Northern York County Regional Police officer stopped the vehicle in the parking lot of a motel in the 300 block of Arsenal Road about 1:40 a.m. and saw a small bag of marijuana on a seat, according to a news release from the department.

When the officer ordered Ethan James Fountain, 19, of 452 Park Street, and the unnamed 17-year-old male from the vehicle, he noticed a black handgun on its floor, police said.

The gun had been reported stolen in York City, police said.

Fountain and the teenager were arrested and taken to the county's central booking unit to be arraigned, police said.

Fountain is charged with felon prohibited to carry a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol by a minor, police said.

He remained in York County Prison Monday on $30,000, according to court records.

The 17-year-old is charged in juvenile court with carrying a firearm without a license, receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol by a minor, police said.
