ERIE, Pa.—An Erie man won't withdraw his no-contest plea to child sex charges even though findings by a forensic nurse who worked on his case have been questioned by other experts.

Fifty-eight-year-old Jerry Ross declined to withdraw his plea on Tuesday at a hearing prompted by questions about the nurse, Rhonda Henderson. Henderson has denied wrongdoing, but prosecutors are reviewing dozens of cases because other experts say Henderson repeatedly overstated injuries on child-sex victims that weren't supported by video evidence.

Ross decided not to withdraw his plea and risk standing trial on charges he molested a 12-year-old girl. Ross faces a mandatory 10-year minimum prison term when he's sentenced in October, but could have faced two 10-year minimum sentences had he been convicted at trial.
