KIRKWOOD, N.Y.—Authorities say the body of a missing 88-year-old woman from upstate New York has been found in northeastern Pennsylvania.

State police tell Binghamton-area media outlets that the body of Helen Oltz was found Tuesday in a wooded area off Route 11 in Hallstead, just south of the New York-Pennsylvania border.

Troopers say Oltz was last seen Friday at her home in Kirkwood, just outside Binghamton. Police say she suffered from dementia.

Troopers say there's no indication of criminal activity related to her death.

An autopsy will be conducted Thursday to determine the cause of death.
