CENTRAL CITY, Pa.—State police are investigating the deaths of a man and woman found in a western Pennsylvania home with gunshot wounds.

Police in Somerset County said the bodies of 59-year-old Karen Harkcom and 57-year-old Michael Harkcom were found Monday in their Stonycreek Township home.

Corporal William Link told WJAC-TV that family members asked troopers to check on the couple's welfare after being unable to contact them over the weekend.

Coroner Wallace Miller told The (Somerset) Daily American that both had gunshot wounds. An autopsy is planned to determine the cause and manner of death.

Police said there was no danger to the public.
