The Altoona Water Authority issued an advisory Friday warning thousands of customers in that city, Hollidaysburg and two nearby townships not to use their tap water. That advisory was lifted Sunday after tests confirmed the water was safe.
The advisory was issued after Blair County received twin emails, one threatening the water supply and the other claiming a bomb had been placed in the courthouse in Hollidaysburg, about 85 miles east of Pittsburgh.
Hollidaysburg police Chief Jeffrey Ketner tells the Altoona Mirror ( http://bit.ly/17pFvUC) the investigation is pointing to an individual, but he declined to offer specifics.
