A high school student accused of discarding her newborn in a bathroom trashcan at her high school in Lancaster County won't face any more charges because a coroner couldn't determine if the child died from a lack of oxygen to the brain before or after it was born. Nineteen-year-old Cherlie LaFleur already faces charges of concealing the death of a child, which is a misdemeanor.
ALLEGHENY STRIKES DEAL TO SELL TUNGSTEN MATERIALS UNIT FOR $605 MILLION
Metals-maker Allegheny Technologies Inc. plans to sell its tungsten materials business for $605 million to Kennametal Inc. The Pittsburgh company said Monday that the deal gives it better financial flexibility as ATI focuses on growth opportunities in its high-performance metals and flat-rolled products segments.
