Investigators say the violence started around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday when someone opened fire outside a pizza shop in the West Oak Lane neighborhood. A 33-year-old man was found shot inside a doorway and died at a hospital.
Officers also responded to a double shooting outside an elementary school playground around 11:30 p.m. in the city's Olney section. Philadelphia police Chief Inspector Scott Small says a 21-year-old man was shot in the chest and died; a teenage male was shot four times and is in critical condition.
Around 2 a.m. Wednesday, police say they found a 32-year-old man shot on his porch in north Philadelphia. He died at a hospital.
No arrests have been reported.
