PORT ALLEGANY, Pa.—State police have been investigating the death of a man driving a go-kart who collided with a sport-utility vehicle on a major highway in northwestern Pennsylvania.

State troopers from the Kane barracks say 24-year-old Keith Robinette, of Port Allegany, was killed in the crash about 9:20 p.m. Friday. It happened on U.S. Route 6 in Liberty Township, about 120 miles northwest of Pittsburgh.

Police say Robinette was driving west in the eastbound lane of the highway when he collided with the eastbound SUV. The driver of the bigger vehicle wasn't hurt.

Police say they need more information about Robinette and the go-kart to complete their investigation.
