JERSEY SHORE, Pa.—A man whose decomposing body was found buried beneath a central Pennsylvania home has been identified as a friend of the homeowner, and authorities say he was the victim of a homicide.

The Williamsport Sun-Gazette (http://bit.ly/12HCvzN) says an autopsy by the Lycoming County coroner Monday confirmed that the victim was 47-year-old Michael Krauser, who had been missing since Feb. 4.

State police came to the Jersey Shore home Thursday looking for the victim.

The coroner's office told WNEP-TV that the victim died of multiple blunt- and sharp-force wounds.

Authorities say the homeowner, who was arrested on charges of abuse of a corpse, could face more serious charges.
