Forty-one-year-old Donnell Price is charged in Dauphin County in the December 2011 slaying of 33-year-old Tarina Price in her Harrisburg home. She was an eighth-grade English teacher at Rowland Middle School.
The (Harrisburg) Patriot-News ( http://bit.ly/15udoOC) said prosecutors are seeking a first-degree murder conviction. Chief Deputy District Attorney Jennifer Gettle told jurors Monday that the defendant stabbed the victim more than two dozen times and then shot her in the mistaken belief that she was having an affair.
But First Assistant Public Defender Ari Weitzman said his client acted in a moment of passion following an argument and "absolutely" didn't intend to kill her.
