PHILADELPHIA—A police officer has shot a suspected gunman in the arm following a car chase through the city.

KYW-TV reports (cbsloc.al/WkLuEe) that the incident began late Thursday night when the officer witnessed a shooting in the Grays Ferry neighborhood and began chasing the suspect, who drove off.

The officer followed the suspect into the center city district, where the suspect was shot.

Both people who were shot are being treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
