Fifty-year-old Gregory Conzo of Summerhill is charged in Cambria County with criminal homicide, aggravated and simple assault and reckless endangerment in the death of 37-year-old Michael Pcola.
Authorities allege that he was arguing with the woman at a Cresson home in November and used an aluminum bat to strike the victim, who died two days later.
The (Johnstown) Tribune-Democrat ( http://bit.ly/VbFzjs) says witnesses testified Wednesday that he was urging the woman to come to court the next day for his sentencing in a previous domestic case.
Under questioning by Conzo's attorney, a police officer said he didn't know where the bat came from, and Pcola was struck once.
