United Steel Workers Local 1917-3 represents the workers at two plants in Meadville, about 90 miles north of Pittsburgh, but union officials haven't commented on the deal.
But Channellock's director of workforce development, Marc Johnston, tells the Meadville Tribune ( http://bit.ly/Whumzv) says the union has approved the new deal. Johnston says he can't comment on terms of the deal.
Channellock has about 360 total employees, including non-union staff, at both plants.
The company makes pliers and other hand tools.
The last contract expired Feb. 10, but Channellock and the union agreed to extend it two weeks while they worked out a new deal.
