BETHLEHEM, Pa.—An eastern Pennsylvania man is facing charges after authorities say he used email, text messages and Facebook posts to threaten his ex-girlfriend.

Authorities say 44-year-old David Howell Jr. of Allentown sent the 37-year-old Bethlehem woman the messages and made the postings from Feb. 4 to Feb. 11. Investigators say Howell and the woman had dated for four years before breaking up last August.

Court documents allege Howell posted information about serial killers on his Facebook page before turning his status updates into a string of threats to kill her and himself.

He was arraigned Thursday on charges of making terroristic threats and harassment and sent to the Northampton County Prison on $10,000 bail. It couldn't be immediately determined if he had a lawyer.
