CHESTER, Pa.—Police are investigating the death of a man found lying face-down in the backyard of a Philadelphia-area home with gunshot wounds.

WCAU-TV ( http://bit.ly/UUjmay) says officers in Chester were called to the home at about 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

They said they found a 22-year-old man lying face-down with gunshot wounds to the back and buttocks. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said officers had previously responded to the area around 2:15 a.m. Sunday for a report of shots fired but found nothing at the time.

The victim's name has not been released pending notification of relatives. Police have not announced any arrests.
