The National Weather Service says 7 inches of snow was reported at Summit Hill in Carbon County and 6 inches in Sciota and Stroudsburg in Monroe County as well as in Pen Argyl and Plainfield Township in Northampton County.
Utility companies serving eastern and northeastern Pennsylvania reported only scattered outages by midday Saturday.
Philadelphia International Airport reported 160 cancelled flights Saturday related to the situation in New England, but otherwise normal operations. Spokeswoman Victoria Lupica says about 32 stranded passengers overnight were given sleeping mats, blankets, food and other assistance.
A number of accidents on snow-covered roads were reported, but no major crashes or road closures.
