McGonagill finished with 23 points, seven assists, five rebounds and three steals, Sullivan added 20 points and eight boards and Halpern had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Brown (5-8), which pulled down a season-high 53 rebounds.
Niagara (7-8), which opened the game with a 10-2 run, scored the first three points in overtime, but McGonagill tied the game 65-all with a 3-pointer. Tyler Ponticelli's layup with 52 seconds remaining broke open a 67-67 tie then McGonagill hit two free throws, stole the ball from Niagara's Malcolm Lemmons and converted a fast-break layup all in a 13-second span to put Brown up 73-67.
Juan'Ya Green hit a 3-pointer to cut it to 73-70 but Halpern's free throws sealed it.
