Venango County District Attorney Marie Veon tells The Derrick of Oil City ( http://bit.ly/133CcNl) that "actions were taken and we're moving forward" after Thursday's in-chambers status conference, but wouldn't say if that means Zachary Proper, of Oil City, will be tried as an adult or not.
Proper remains incarcerated on charges he fatally shot his grandparents, 69-year-old George Fross and 67-year-old Dorothy Fross at their Sandycreek Township home on Oct. 7.
Proper faces up to life in prison if convicted as an adult, but his attorney wants the case moved to juvenile court where incarceration or supervision would end when he turns 21.
