MERCER, Pa.—A western Pennsylvania man will spend two to six years in state prison for driving drunk during a crash that killed his friend last year, not far from the scene of a crash he had as a teenager that killed another friend in 2002.

The Herald of Sharon ( http://bit.ly/XVxm3G) reports 27-year-old Ben Loutzenhiser was sentenced Friday by a judge in Mercer County.

Loutzenhiser had previously pleaded guilty to drunken driving, homicide by vehicle and other charges stemming from the crash that killed 25-year-old James Sires Jr., of Hadley, on May 11, 2011.

Loutzenhiser crashed into a tree that night, just like he did on June 17, 2002 when a 16-year-old female passenger was killed a few miles away. Loutzenhiser was a juvenile at the time, so court records don't reflect whether he was charged in that crash.
