NEW HOLLAND, Pa.—A 19-year-old Pennsylvania man is charged with attacking a social worker who came to his home.

Jackie Lee Allison III, of New Holland, is facing charges of aggravated assault and terroristic threats.

Police in Lancaster County said they were called to Allison's apartment Thursday morning.

Responding officers said they determined Allison swung a baseball bat toward the Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit social worker and then threatened the social worker with a knife.

They said the school district employee was attempting to encourage and counsel Allison with his career and technology center training.

Allison was arraigned and sent to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail. It wasn't clear whether he had an attorney.
