PITTSBURGH—The Pittsburgh Public School system and some other school districts in the region will be closed Tuesday, along with the United States District Court for Western Pennsylvania. Monday evening classes at the Community College of Allegheny County are also cancelled.

Authorities expect heavy rain from Sandy to extend into western Pennsylvania on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Several PennDOT photo-licensing centers will also be closed Tuesday, including East Rochester, Penn Hills, East Liberty, New Kensington, Monroeville and Clairton Boulevard.

The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium will also be closed Tuesday.

Pittsburgh International Airport is still open, but many flights to eastern seaboard cities have been cancelled.

The Port Authority of Allegheny County is open.
