HARRISBURG, Pa.—Democratic candidate Kathleen Kane has a big edge in fundraising over Republican David Freed in the race for Pennsylvania attorney general.

Campaign finance summaries made available by the candidates' campaigns Friday showed Kane has roughly doubled the amount she has raised since the April primary—to nearly $3 million.

As of Monday, the former Lackawanna County prosecutor reported a little over $1 million in cash on hand.

Freed, the Cumberland County district attorney, reported $707,000 in contributions that pushed his total to more than $2 million. He had more than $1.5 million on hand.

The candidates' full reports, the last ones due before the Nov. 6 election, had not reached the State Department by late Friday afternoon.

In races for the other statewide row offices, state Treasurer Rob McCord, a Democrat, reported $215,000 in contributions since mid-September and $1.4 million on hand in his campaign for a second term.
