The Philadelphia Inquirer ( http://bit.ly/XR2RJu) says opening statements were delivered Tuesday in the trial of 31-year-old Keisha Jones, who is charged with murder and possessing an instrument of crime.
Authorities said Jones and 29-year-old Tyrone Taylor were driving home from a bar early Nov. 27 when they argued and she ordered him out of the car, and prosecutors argue that she then gunned the motor and crushed him against a wall.
Defense attorney Richard DeSipio told jurors that his client would take the stand. The defense says Jones was just trying to convince Taylor to get back in the car, and she is devastated by his death.
