Andre Bean used to be director of Delaware Valley High School in Reading. Bean denies he and five others urged students to damage the for-profit school after they were fired Sept. 14.
Company founder David Shulick's filed a lawsuit last month alleging the ex-staffers helped trigger a student's tantrum and a 10-student walkout, among other incidents.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports ( http://bit.ly/Rvihje) Bean filed a response in Common Pleas Court last week. Bean called Shulick's claims "ridiculous," "wild" and "defamatory."
Shulick declined to comment. He says the company stands by all pleadings filed with the court.
The Reading School District contracts with the school for alternative education.
