The Westmoreland County coroner says the dead man is 62-year-old Dale Shields. An autopsy was scheduled later Tuesday.
Neighbors reported hearing an explosion about the time the fire was reported at 4 a.m. Tuesday.
The coroner confirms that Shields used oxygen, but says the investigation to determine how the fire started—and whether the oxygen played a role—was continuing.
Shields lived in the Lincoln Mobile Trailer Court in North Huntingdon Township. That's about 25 miles east of Pittsburgh, along Route 30.
The highway was closed for about 90 minutes so fire crews could run hoses across the road.
