PLEASANT HILLS, Pa.—Police have been investigating separate accidents in which three pedestrians were killed in southwestern Pennsylvania.

The first happened about 6 p.m. Monday in Paint Township, Somerset County. That's where police say 93-year-old Nellie Chelednik, of Central City, was hit while crossing the street with her groceries.

In Pleasant Hills, a Pittsburgh suburb, police say a man was killed when he was hit by a vehicle on Route 51 near the Olive Garden restaurant. The Allegheny County medical examiner hasn't released the name of that man, who was hit about 9 p.m. Monday.

Meanwhile, the Westmoreland County coroner says 41-year-old Robert Steininger, of Youngstown, was hit while he was walking along Route 982 in Unity Township. That happened about 9:30 p.m.

None of the drivers have been identified pending further investigation.
