YOUNGWOOD, Pa.—A western Pennsylvania community college has closed its campuses for the day due to an unspecified threat, which state police are helping to investigate.

Officials at Westmoreland County Community College have not returned a call for comment, but the school which is based in Youngwood says on Twitter Monday that "There was a threat to our campus and we are currently investigating. All campuses remain closed for the day."

Trooper Steve Limani, spokesman for the Greensburg barracks, confirmed police have been investigating but says all information is being handled by the school.
