The U.S. Attorney's Office announced Tuesday that Samuel A. Parrotti II of the Broome County village of Lisle (LYE'-uhl) has been charged with robbing a bank in Binghamton on July 16 and another in nearby Whitney Point on Aug. 1.
Officials say he's also suspected of robbing banks in Scranton and Sayre, Pa., in August.
Prosecutors aren't saying how much money was taken during the robberies.
Authorities say Parrotti was arrested after police executed a federal search warrant at his home located about 20 miles north of Binghamton.
It couldn't immediately be determined if he had a lawyer.
