Mayor Michael Nutter and hundreds of uniformed officers were among those at Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Plymouth Meeting on Wednesday to remember Officer Bradley Fox.
Police chief Joseph Lawrence said Fox did his duty: protecting the citizens of the township.
Authorities say Fox was gunned down Thursday after pursuing the driver of a stolen car. Forty-four-year-old Andrew Charles Thomas was found dead of gunshot wounds. Officials said he committed suicide.
Fox's casket was later escorted by police cars to Washington Crossing National Cemetery. He was buried in his police uniform with full military honors.
