JOHNSTOWN, Pa.—A western Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers group says two banks that were robbed have contributed $2,000 toward a $6,000 reward for the arrest of a man who police believe robbed both institutions and a news stand since Aug. 28.

Gary Martin, president of Cambria County Crime Stoppers, says this is the first time his group has offered $6,000. He says the group is trying to find the suspect before he commits another robbery.

Surveillance video suggests the same man has robbed Gallos Newsstand in Johnstown on Aug. 28; an AmeriServ bank branch in Lower Yoder Township on Sept. 6; and the First National Bank in Davidsville on Sept. 10. Davidsville is in neighboring Somerset County.

Nobody has been hurt in the robberies, which were all committed at gunpoint.
