The York Dispatch ( http://bit.ly/PMpYmS) says a district judge ruled Monday that there was enough evidence for 29-year-old Timothy Jacoby to stand trial on charges of homicide, burglary, receiving stolen property and other counts.
He is charged in the death of 55-year-old Monica Schmeyer, who was found shot to death in her Manheim Township home in March 2010.
Defense attorney Brian Perry repeatedly said Monday that the state is theorizing that someone else hired his client to kill the victim, but prosecutors said there would have been a murder-for-hire arrest if that were the state's theory and prosecutors had evidence of that.
