The Philadelphia Inquirer ( http://bit.ly/ToGA4F) says Wednesday's decision by 28-year-old Michael Holmes means charges against him in the July 24 slayings of 17-year-old Christopher Malcolm and 12-year-old Rohan Bennett will proceed directly to trial in Common Pleas Court.
Holmes, 26-year-old Terrence Seldon and 28-year-old John Gonce are charged in the case. Seldon is awaiting an Oct. 24 preliminary hearing. Gonce is awaiting extradition after being charged with having raped two girls at a Maryland home to which he fled after the shootings.
Police say that the brothers were shot and killed after what investigators allege was a drug deal involving the boys' parents.
