Marcus Gray pleaded guilty Tuesday to homicide by vehicle while DUI for the Jan. 6 crash that killed 24-year-old Letoinne Barnett in Erie.
Authorities alleged Gray was speeding when he went through a stop sign and collided with a car driven by Gloria Ortiz, who survived the crash.
Gray's blood-alcohol level was 0.242 percent. The legal limit for drivers in Pennsylvania is 0.08.
Gray's lawyer tells The Erie Times-News ( http://bit.ly/Q0gQdZ) his client accepts responsibility for what he did.
Prosecutors dropped other related charges in return for Gray's plea. Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 31.
