PITTSTON, Pa.—One man is facing charges in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed two people in northeastern Pennsylvania and police have impounded the car of a man who allegedly sought his help.

Jenkins Township police say 46-year-old Daniel Antonini helped power wash the car involved in the crash that killed 38-year-old Donnie Pizano and 39-year-old Robin Walsh early Sunday in front of a fast-food restaurant near Pittston.

Court documents say Antonini told investigators he was asked by the car's owner to help power wash a vehicle that had blood and broken glass on it. The car's owner was arrested on unrelated drug charges but the investigation into the crash is continuing.

Antonini was charged with evidence tampering and held on $5,000 bail. Court records don't list an attorney for him.
