PHILADELPHIA—Police say a woman was shot to death in sport utility vehicle in northeast Philadelphia.

Officers were called to an intersection in the Kensington neighborhood at about 9:41 p.m. Friday.

They found a 39-year-old woman who had been shot multiple times inside the gray SUV.

The victim was pronounced dead about an hour later at Temple University Hospital. Her name was not immediately released.

A police spokeswoman said no charges were immediately filed in the case; there was no information about whether any suspects were arrested.
